Questions & Answers About Love Health’s Direct Primary Care Model

Love Health DPC operates under a direct primary care model. This is a newer membership based concierge primary care practice, which means we prioritize patient-centered medical care by offering non-rushed appointments typically lasting 30-45 minutes. Our model emphasizes accessibility, affordability, and a holistic approach to primary care, where you and your needs will always come first.

To provide the highest quality, patient-centered medical care, we cannot accept insurance for our services. Instead, we offer an affordable monthly membership option, which is cheaper than what most pay for their cell phones or internet.

Absolutely! Your insurance can be used for other services like labs, radiology, specialist care, medications, and more!

Not to worry! That’s another benefit of choosing Love Health’s direct primary care model. I choose to NOT maintain typical health insurance and instead use a healthcare sharing plan.

Unfortunately, some HMO-type plans make joining a DPC practice difficult or impossible. HMO plans require that you have a primary care doctor who is "in-network" with your insurance company. We recommend you check with your insurance to see if this is the case for you.

We also offer unique Community Sponsorship Opportunities, such as:

  • The Supporter Membership: Alongside your own membership, you can contribute $60 monthly to sponsor a community member in need.
  • Direct Sponsorship: Members can choose an individual to sponsor their membership, fostering inclusivity in healthcare access.

Infants and toddlers require more frequent checkups and close monitoring during their early years, which is why our infant membership (ages 0–3) is priced slightly higher. This reflects the added time, attention, and visits needed to support your child’s healthy development during these critical years.

At Love Health, we follow the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines for well-child visits, which recommend the following schedule:

You will never be pressured or made to feel that anything is being forced upon you or your child. We believe in informed, respectful conversations and empowering you to make the best decisions for your family.
